Linden Fire and Rescue was started in 1968 from the vision of several local farmers and business owners. They saw a need for a Fire Department due to the large fire load in the community created by the many intensive livestock operations. Through the years we have evolved into a Fire and Rescue Department with fire suppression, vehicle and technical rescue and medical response capabilities. Linden Fire is a fully volunteer department with 27 active members. We provide Fire services to the Village of Linden and surrounding area, and Rescue services to the south half of Kneehill County. Mutual aid response is provided to Three Hills, Acme, Carbon, Torrington and Mountainview County Fire Departments. Linden Fire and Rescue is jointly funded by Kneehill County and the Village of Linden.
